MONEY MARKET AND CAPITAL MARKET

                       DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MONEY MARKET AND CAPITAL MARKET
  • Money market is related to short term funds while capital market is related to long term funds.
  • Money market deals in securities like Treasury bills, Trade Bills, Commercial papers, depository certificates etc. while Capital market deals in shares, debentures, bonds and government securities.
  • Money market is regulated by R.B.I , while Capital market is regulated by SEBI.
  • Participants in money market are Reserve Bank Of India, Commercial Banks, Non-financial corporation etc. , while in Capital Markets are Stockholders, Under-writings , Mutual funds, Financial Institutions etc.
